Teaser Tuesdays - March 23

Taken from Miz B.'s, Should Be Reading blog:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Miz B. of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along. Just click the link for Teaser Tuesdays and you can find out how to participate!

Here is my teaser for the week:
"She thought it would be safer if she were simply to pay a short visit to the vaults on a minor inspection and tell Warren to come to her at their meeting spot by the river. The information was far too dangerous even to convey in the safety of the empty vaults."  ~p.365 of Blood of the Fold by Terry Goodkind

I am still reading Blood of the Fold this week. All of the Sword of Truth books are pretty long. This one is 623 pages. I am hoping to be done by the end of the week so that I can read the book for my Thrill Me Book Club by next Wednesday. I'm afraid that I've hit a bit of a reading slump lately. What do you do when you hit a reading slump?

What is your teaser for this week? You can post a link to your blog in the comments, or if you don't have a blog you can post your teaser in the comments. Happy Tuesday!

When I hit a slump, I switch to a different kind of book.

Ooo sounds mysterious. I wonder why an empty vault might be too dangerous to even reveal the information in.

When I hit a reading slump, I just relax on my reading for a bit. I go out and do something different and then try to come back to it. Usually it helps.

Thanks for stopping by my teaser at Find the Time to Read I hope you come back and visit me soon!

Oh, I love this series! Great teaser! Sorry you're in a reading slump. :( I try to get out and hang out with friends or do something that I haven't done in a while, just to take my mind off of books. Usually once I'm sick and tired of going out, I'm ready for the books again! :)

Ohh, great teaser! Sorry to hear that you are in a reading slump. Usually I try to reread a book that I love (one of my absolute favorites) if that doesn't work then, I try to do other things that are not book related like watch movies or plan a dinner party. Usually after a few movies, I'm ready for a book.

Sounds like an interesting series, but I tend to shy away from anything with that many pages! I'm a very slow reader, so I try to stick with shorter books. Excellent teaser, though! Here's mine.

When I hit a slump I usually will find some sort stories that peak my interest... lots of free reads available online.

@Alice Audrey - Thanks for the advice. That seems to be what a lot of people do that I've asked.

@Jess - I loved your teaser. Sounded like a fun book and reminded me a little of True Blood (the HBO series). I've been glued to my TV lately to try to get out of this slump!

@Corinne - I'm actually going to hang out with some friends this week so good advice!!! :)

@Serpentine Librarian - That's the other advice a lot of people are giving me. I might have to try it. :)

@jlshall - I don't normally read lots of books this long, but I'm enjoying the series, and they are quite quick reads actually.

@Sweet Vernal Zephyr - Oh that's a good idea. Maybe some short stories online would help!

Good teaser! I have got to confess though that I've always found the character names a bit bizarre in that series... 'Warren' for a fantasy wizard indeed! :P

@Hampshireflyer - They are totally bizarre. I was thinking of Jedediah though. What wizard would be named that?!! LOL!

@Heidi V - Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope you have a good week too!

I tend to have a few books going at a time -- so long as they're different types of books. Lately, though, I've been doing more magazine reading and less book reading. Think my brain needed the break (more pictures, less complex stuff).

Oh man, I hit a MAJOR reading slump back in January. It was brutal! I just kept trying and eventually I hit on "Pope Joan" which snapped me out of it. I LOVED that book. Some people say to try a different genre, or take a real break and do something else. For me it's knitting.

Good luck and great teaser!

Good teaser. If I hit a slump I will switch genres, or spend time on another activity.
